Electric Vehicle Spotlight: Test drive an EV and see what all of the hype is about.

Electric vehicles are fun to drive. Test drive one and see for yourself!

Today’s electric cars and trucks are like driving computers on wheels, or a spaceship as some point out, with more torque than you can handle. Because there’s an entirely new type of engine in these vehicles, they accelerate much faster than what most drivers are used to. A typical electric car can go from 0 to 60 in 2.4 to 7 seconds!

But don’t take our word for it. Consider these reactions from first time EV drivers:

Wow! That went really quickly.

Holy s***.

We’re in a spaceship!

It’s a whole different experience. You don’t feel like you are driving a car. You feel like you are in a whole different universe.

My first impressions of driving an electric vehicle — I compare the drive to a luxury vehicle. It’s so quiet. It’s so smooth. It’s so fast.

The best part is, they’re not just fun to drive. They’re also quiet. Electric drivetrains have few moving parts and drivers notice a substantial difference in noise when they’re behind the wheel. Meanwhile, they have all of the latest safety features.

As an added bonus, electric cars and trucks do not contribute to smog and ozone pollution because they don’t emit any tailpipe pollutants like vehicles with internal combustion engines do.

With more and more automakers developing electric car and truck models in the 2020s, there will be more choice of vehicle types SUVs, trucks, sedans, crossovers, and more than at any time in American history.

So, with all of those benefits and more — what are you waiting for? Register for virtual and in-person events to learn more about electric vehicles during National Drive Electric Week — Sep 26 to Oct 4, 2020. Find events in your area!
